The Effect of Leadership and Emotional Intelligence on Teacher’s Performance

The performance of teachers from several State Islamic Senior High School (MAN) in Kota Padang Panjang was classified as not optimal yet, that led to lack finishing the teachers’ task and function this New Normal era. aim study determine effect principal’s leadership emotional intelligence on MAN during This research used quantitative method problems occurred field. population were 173 teachers, with samples chosen 116 people. sample by using Cochran technique, namely stratified proportional random sampling. data collected questionnaires. Then, they analyzed SPSS version 17. results showed that: (1) positive significant principal's teachers: 0.357 a coefficient determination 0.1274 or (12.74%); (2) Performance era determined emotional, equal 0.302 0.0912 09.12%; (3) both era, altogether 0.652 0.42.51 42.51%.
